So, what's everybody doing for this Hurricane? Don't want a water-logged thirdgen...

Also, saw a red 91-92 RS T-Tops with blacked out factory wheels leaving Duke Field yesterday.

ehhhh it's just going to be a pissed off thunder storm. Nothing to really worry about - except the day off from work. My camaro's and bike will be nestled safely in the garage, with my wifes impala parked length ways against the door to take the brunt of most of the wind, and my moms cobra will protect my wife impala. My biggest concern it the tree next to my house that has been leaning and tangled in the power line to the house. If it comes down so does my power line. Also my pool in the back- it hasn't run in years, but I don't want it to break apart and flood my backyard and come into my house.

You're up in Crestview, right? I live just north of 98... neighbor said if it's a Cat 1, no big deal.

I personally don't worry or pay any attention unless its a cat III. for cat 1, it's a day off from work and any opportunity to sleep. otherwise i don't really do anything else. and yes. C-town.

Supposedly it's going to be a Cat II once it hits the gulf coast, but the most recent tracks suggest it will hit around Mississippi instead of a direct hit on Destin.

Yeah not gonna lie. I'm pretty bummed about this..... was REALLY looking forward to about a week off from work. This was the perfect storm. Powerful enough to get me out of work, but not powerful enough to do any real kind of damages......ohh well looks like there might be another one a few days behind this one forming off the coast of Cuba in this ones wake.

What's up, panhandle thirdgenners? I'm on the other side of the planet right now. All I have is a Toyota Hilux, but at least it's a manual.

What's going on dude. i keep seeing this white RS running around the base. looks like it is in REALLY good shape. I've thought twice now it's you, but then i realize it's not.

Not much going on here, just got done doing a bunch of work to my vert. the list of new stuff is pretty lengthy, but new injectors, plugs, wires, cap, rotor, radiator cap, removed the smog tubes completely and plugged (cleanly so i can re-install if needed) deleted the smog pump (again clean) and all of the related equipment, replaced the belt with a longer one to allow for re-routing as the smog pump is no longer there, also rerouted the sensors for the smog stuff under the accessory bracket hidden out of sight, new gaskets on the lower and upper runners, valve covers, new vacuum lines, cruise control module, pcv grommets, pcv valve, and pcv hoses, bypassed the coolant in the throttle body, rerouted alot of the hoses in the engine bay for a cleaner look, and a new Poly torque arm bushing (thing was completely gone... i mean like obliterated).

still saving to get all the stuff for my suspension upgrades, got alot of the big pieces out of the way, now just waiting for cash for the smaller pieces. but i'm also putting in an order for translucent purple powder, and reflective chrome powder, and i will start powder coating (a friend has everything i just need the powder) the valve covers, runners, plenum, distributor cover, throttle body and throttle body plate. while i'm at it i may pull the accessory brackets off and do those too. planning on purple valve covers, plenum, distributor cover, and Throttle body plate. chrome on the runners, throttle body and accessory brackets if i do them. everything will get cleaned and media blasted with aluminum oxide.

holy crap this turned out to be a long post. anyway hope is well with you over there, and Thanks for all you do!

Re: Florida Panhandle! Who's here?

Been quiet here for a while... saw a white 91/92 Z28 with C4 ZR1 wheels and a cowl hood in the Crestview area.

Tonight, I saw a mid to late 80s IROC, black, EXCELLENT condition, anybody here? It was in Destin.

indeed it has been quiet. surprised to see you online... i assume your back since you say your seeing cars in the area. mine has been slumbering in the garage. i have been driving :::Cough Cough head bow of shame:::: the Wifes Cobra the last few weeks. Spent about a month in california on a TDY and when i came back my lawn was CRAZY.... well my lawn mower has been dead for a bit, and with furloughs it's not going to get any better soon.... so the cars have been parked in the driveway instead of the grass, which makes getting either of my camaros out a pain.... so out of convenience i've been driving the mustang. not going to lie though. as much as i hang my head in shame secretly i enjoy it.... but i REALLY think that's because i'm going into manual transmission withdrawals with my Vert and the cobra is a manual and thus more fun to drive. once i swap a T56 into my vert i expect my view of that will change slightly.....

by the way, welcome back.

Re: Florida Panhandle! Who's here?

I'm over in Destin on a lot of Tuesday nights for the Swamp meet but haven't been in a few weeks. Last night was in Cottonwood for the lights out event. Just waiting for the weather to cool down a bit and I'll be out and about more. I haven't seen many third gens on the roads around here lately.

Swap meet would be much better than a Swamp meet
