Rain has cleared out of Bardstown...radar leads me to beleive that we've seen all the rain we are going to see for today....will try to head up to the cruise around 4 or 5....goes on til 9pm. If the rain clears out of your areas, try to come out!

Feel free to call or text me at 502-249-1019 for weather details or anything. My name is Jacob

How was the cruise? Too much rain here in Danville. Need a battery for my 90, and was not going to take the 75 out in the rain, or on wet roads. Hopefully meet you guys soon.

Re: Any Thirdgen Guys in KY?

The weather cleared up really nice Saturday..... The cruise in Bardstown was nice. Glad I was able to make it out for a while. I'm hoping I can make it out for an upcoming cruise. I also made it over to the Hillview, Ky cruise. Hillview was so packed.... It was a great location for both cruises.

Re: Any Thirdgen Guys in KY?

I know a year or so ago every thursday during the spring and summer months here in Lexington a lot of people would get together at this place called Parkette. It's on New Circle rd, a little down from the Winchester Rd crossing. I recently just bought my second 3rdGen. First one died...

I'm good to meet up almost any time and Lexington is pretty central to most places in KY, with 64, 75, and the parkways. The only thing about most of the scene at Parkette is the fact that a lot of "Honda" people show up. Parkette is an old drive in so they don't mind having us all show up on Thursdays it makes them a lot of good money. Which I just got back from Afghanistan, so I don't know how it is now. I would post my number on here, but you know how that spam stuff works. You guys can just email me or pm me on here to figure out a date and time. I'm sure if we got a lot of 3rdGen guys together and just showed up one Saturday we could turn it into a normal thing. My Camaro is still in need of some body work and paint, but it's definetely got some nice stuff under the hood.

Unfortunately, i just had to buy a new alternator for it. Seems to me the original alternator from the '80 Vette was still on the engine. Luckily though, the engine was rebuilt a little over 5000 miles ago, and pretty much everything else is less than 6 months old.

If anybody has a 650cfm to 750cfm carb they wouldn't mind selling or trading for an Edelbrock 600cfm 1405 we could talk about pricing and such. If I don't find one soon I'll end up buying a new one and selling the 1405 so that could be an option to someone still building their engine.

Also, if you guys know anyone who has a decent hood that they don't want too much for let me know. I'm looking for a cowl induction, doesn't matter a whole lot on how high the cowl is, I just need to get a little bit more clearance from the air cleaner. Also, my Z28 hood is a little passed what I want to work on. Looks like something might have fallen on it previously. Nice thing about it though is that the louvers are still in good condition.

Oh and I have a one piece rear window louver for sale, it's in great condition, it's still on the car. I'm looking to get about $200 obo.

Look forward to meeting up with you guys.

I'm planning on heading out of Bardstown around 10:30 Saturday morning to go to Somerset. If anyone is going Saturday and passing through Bardstown around 10:00-10:30, let me know and we can follow each other there!

(502) 249-1019 (Jacob)

I think the gates open at 1:00pm for the show and shine and for the special areas for the F- bodies.

OK you are in Louisville? Surely you have head of Mike Linnigs restaurant!!!

Virtually every Thursday all spring there is a car rally there. I was there visiting last week (last Thursday of spring) and it was packed. I didn't see any 3rd gens, but several 2nd gens, a couple of early 4t gens, tons of Vettes, and an assortment of odd old classics. They also do a summer music fest every Saturday.

Yeah I've been out to Mike Linnigs a lot. Usually only the weekends though. My wk schedule gets crazy unfortunately. I've heard about the Thursday rallies; sounds fun. Mike Linnigs is a really nice spot for gatherings. Good location near the River with lots of good food and entertainment.

Re: Any Thirdgen Guys in KY?

Somerset was awesome....210 camaros and firebirds! 1096 cars total! Weather was great! Definitely on the calendar for next June! 4 more shows in Somerset this year....planning on going again either September for the Vettes or the last one in October.

I highly recommend anyone going, especially third gen owners. Not a whole lot of third gens....lots of 1st gens and 5th gens though....and surprisingly a lot of 2nd gens too.

It was very nice. "bluegrassz" tipped me over to this thread. Somernights cruise is always a blast here. I'm out for it every month. People love to leave early for the cruising down 27 early, so you have to be at the car show early in the evening to catch all the nice rides.

Re: Any Thirdgen Guys in KY?

Hey guys, I'm here in Western KY by the lakes. Here's some pics of mine on flickr http://www.flickr.com/photos/sathanous/ It's changed a little since then. Doors and front bumper are both blue and front fenders and hood are primed and the carpet and seats are new-to-me replacements. I had planned on a paint job being my next expense if nothing else went wrong (been trouble since I got it) and going across the bridge to work last Friday a hanger came loose on my exhaust and the bridge caught the converter and pulled it back around my rear axle but next it gets more unified in color.

Hey Everybody..... There is a big cruise / show in Hillview, KY this Saturday July 9th. The cruise starts at approximately 4:30 PM and ends around 9:30 PM. I wanted to invite all local Third Gen Guys out to the cruise. If interested; the cruise is held in the large Tractor Supply parking lot on Preston Highway in Hillview, KY. Really nice location and always a Great turn out. I will be attending this cruise. Hope to see some TGO members.

Re: Any Thirdgen Guys in KY?

there will be a huge carshow in elizabethtown ky on july 30th, last year (the first year they've had this show) they had almost 1,000 cars. the car show is in downtown etown by the old court house and there are lots of parking lots and lots of shade. we should all meet up somewhere and ride in and park togather, it starts in th morning 9-10 and goes till dark, the night before they have a little concert or somthing. they also show movies like american grafity in the old historic state theatre and have food and all that. . ive been wantin to meet some third gen people, everyone i talk to "had one just like mine, but fast" except they didnt make hugger orange ones with 4 inch cowl hoods lol.

I think that would look pretty good. I'm not a fan of the racing/sport style rims, but your car can pull anything off. I'd say all you have left to do is wax it up real good, get it nice and shiny, top off the gas, and then give it to me for free, no questions asked. Haha.

I tossed around the idea of getting some C6 wheels.

I have thought about painting it maybe a different color and then somedays I just want to sell it.

Here, Let me throw you the keys!!!

I love the color, I think it looks great. I'm a fan of white stripes on blue like that.
And I agree with the rims. I think you would like it. I bet you would like it enough to talk yourself out of getting rid of it. That is just crazy talk! Haha.

Yeah, I like the blue/white also. I guess its just brain farts! lol

Now if I could find someone to trade me straight up wheels/tires or just sell these, I might go for it.

<----- I seen you were from Danville, but didnt see the info on the formula.

I have seen a few nice ones running around over the years, but not many. It will be a nice build.

LOL ... Yea, you don't see many 75's i hope to have it back this week. I traded my 2001 3.8 v-6 firebird for it title for title. The only things i have done is had the tranny rebuilt, pulled the B&M shifter and installed a Hurst Dual Gate shifter, got a nice set of lower door panels, and some fresh paint. The paint was nice, but was aging.
My 90 GTA was painted last year. Still working on the interior. Hope it doesn't rain sat.

You need to post some pics of it (with the GTA--Thirdgen content) when you get it done.

Anyone going to E-Town for "Cruisin The Heartland" car show Saturday July 30th? I will be cruising from Louisville with some friends. Hope to some TGO members.
