Summerville area here... Hoping to focus and get my car back on the road.
The 305 started to knock so going to a 350/t56, buuut.... exterior ofcar is great but under the hood is rough. Have to fix battery tray and clean up under the hood, might replace brake lines, etc...

Re: South Carolina, Charleston Area?
I have lots of stuff for a t56 conversion and single belt conversion. My next main thing is to clean up under the hood, then prep to drop in a motor.
Next major thing to tackle...

I hear the 3 year mark! as i am just now about to hit 3 years on mine. Finally pulled the trigger on what i wanted to do to move forward. So I am nervous and excited all the same time.

Re: South Carolina, Charleston Area?
Picked up a running project/part TA that I was gonna use as a donar car, but no longer will need. 88 GTA 350TPI with Auto 700R4.
Car isn't the prettiest TA I've seen or best over all. So not looking for much. Interior is pretty good. But if interested hit me and I've share details.

Re: South Carolina, Charleston Area?
I'm in Myrtle Beach would be willing to hang out some time and talk about setups.
I'm looking for someone in the area that can help me fine tune my setup. I use Tuner Pro with rbobs EBL P4 Flash system. I've got the basics down but would really like to understand how to tweak some of the settings to maximize the mods I've installed.
I can data log with the EBL system, but may be interested in investing in some dyno time.
Any one have any suggestions?
Thanks,
C

Re: South Carolina, Charleston Area?
Was thinking maybe teaming up with someone local who can help me out with some mechanical aspects of the 87 and I in return can do the same, plus body and paint.

Not mine, but thought someone could use this! Wish I could buy it as a backup, lol.

Re: South Carolina, Charleston Area?
Well guys, times changed, and my route... I am slowly moving along on prepping my third gen. But my SBC, t56 plan changed pretty different.
I picked this up, I think I made the right choice. Cammed, supposed headwork, either way fast as hell, and everything I can get out of it is going in my 3rd gen. It is totaled.
So if anyone is interested, I will have some single belt conversion stuff for sale, some used, some brand new, lots of duplicate stuff. And a Lt1 T56 conversion(pedals/bellhousing/short shifter/clutch/hydraulics) for sale. As for 4th gen stuff anything really desirable for a 3rd gen I am likely going to take.

Re: South Carolina, Charleston Area?
Mustangeater: Totaled?! Water damage? Congrats on the good deal either way.
I finally got my 89 in the garage myself (only took 2 yrs) and will hopefully start tear down tomorrow. I will have a kiesler t56 that mounts to t5 bell housing and takes cable speedometer for sale soon. Thing was designed as bolt in to third gens. I will also be selling my TPI. Ive got a 01 z28 donor for swapping of engine, interior, gas tank, etc.
Hope everyone has a safe weekend!

Re: South Carolina, Charleston Area?
Probably was me I stopped by there to grab plate hardware on my way home from the dmv.
It's a totaled, wreck car. 3-4 shift fork issue, car went into ditch, floor is pushed up on Passenger side and you can't open the door.
It's still pretty driveable, but will get the tranny rebuilt when I do the swap.
