Sup ya'll checking in. How did the meet go yesterday? I know it was pretty nippy last night. I did the clutch master cyl yesterday. That was a major pain in the a**. Took me almost 4 hrs to get it lined up and back together. But its done and can finally shift easily now.

I could have been driving the car if I didn't foolishly cut out the floor a few months ago.

Lmao, no kidding. I have a "new" rear floorpan to go in that space, but I decided it would be better to weld that piece in after I get the two front floorpans. Money was tight during the summer and I wasn't able to get them when I needed them.

WELL. apparently it's contagious. I lost 3rd and 4th tonight. Had to drive it home in 2nd gear the whole way.
Had fun up until that point, hopefully I'll have something before the next meet.

Re: Official Tampa, FL Area Thread

well, we checked the fluid at the gas station next to sonic, and it was full, so it wasnt low fluid like i hoped. As soon as we hit 301, it never even tried to hit 3rd. It just slips all day without even getting into 3rd. So I ended up putting her in 2nd, driving 40ish all the way back. But, I have a little crown royal to soak up the pain, and ill start looking for another way out of this tomorrow.

Someone else showed up after I left? Sorry didn't stay long guys. I showed at 4 but had planned to pick up the pooch at 630.

Anyway, my friend that was with me (Kelly) may be looking for a third gen bird soon. Maybe she will chime in here soon.

You may need to change the shifter arm and tail housing but yes, it should work.

Re: Official Tampa, FL Area Thread

Buy the way, someone stole my cigarette lighter out of my car(at my ex mechanics), and the oe replacement they try to sell me fits loose, doesn't work and blows my fuses. Does the 92 rs have a different lighter than the 92Iroc? The lighter they sold me they say fits all 82-92 camaro's. It also doesn't fit my 85 Z-28. HELP.........

I believe they are just that way unless you find a proper repro. I would just replace the whole lighter socket as I bet the socket is in bad shape and thats whats blowing your fuses.

Re: Official Tampa, FL Area Thread

Hey guys, is that thread ever gonna get made. The one for central fl parts. Because i'm in the need of a hood, pass fender and probably the wrap around wing i think mine is falling apart on the inside. And some tires if anyone has a clue where i can get a good deal, since mine are dry rotted to hell. Any help would be great since i'm still new to central FL.

I don't have any parts for you, but check discounttiredirect.com for tires. That's where I always buy mine. There's a handful of people parting third gens on craigslist, give the auto parts section a look.
