Hi, my name is Ed. I live in Chattanooga, work at the Volkswagen plant, even though, plain and simple, I'm a Chevy guy. My daily driver is a 91 Chevy 1500 Sport. Bought it in rough shape....it's still in rough shape. I do have plans to get it fixed, though. The reason I'm here, though, is I recently bought a 1989 IROC a few months ago. Mechanically, it needs a fuel pump, fuel tank, and radiator fans. Previous owner got tired of it sitting, so their loss is my gain. Paint definitely needs work. At one point in time, someone repainted and stickered it like and earlier IROC. Plans are to strip it down, inside and out, and get it close to original.

Welcome ED and good luck with the IROC! I was about 7 yrs old when they started showing up on the street and man they made an impression on me! I remember gathering around looking at the strange "Octopus" looking engine it was spage age stuff to us back then. I still love the look of em til this day!

Thabks. I'm planning on keeping the TPI manifold, even if I change the bottom end, just so I can keep the look of the car.
