To All Florida Members

To all of us members in the path of this storm please sty safe. I know we all care about our cars but with the intensity of this storm we need to make sure we protect ourselves and our family. I am moving my car to a safe storage as I live in a wood frame house and are worried about a direct hit. I won't be staying in my house also.

There is a member on this board that had to move to the Island of Anguilla. He had his Car shipped to this small island that took a direct hit.

Alex, my thoughts and prayers go out to you and your family I hope you made it through.

Re: To All Florida Members

I have everything secured the best I can.

we can rebuild houses and cars, but can't rebuild people.

Stay safe!

*If you are storing your car in a garage, place a 2x4 upright against the center of the door then back your car against it. That will keep the door from collapsing in.

Good luck everyone!

It's expected to hit us as a Cat 1 and unfortunately the safest place I have is in the driveway under a tarp. She's usually parked under a shade tree by the side of the house but not taking any chances, already had a smaller branch fall right next to the car this morning. Best of luck everyone

Re: To All Florida Members

Its gonna be a small tropical storm if it even gets near me, we have had so many people from southern Florida come to Pensacola which is the last biggest city at the north west tip of Florida by the Alabama border to wait for it to go by. I have both of my cars in the cars in the garage but i don't expect it to be bad here other than higher winds.

My gray bird has zero damage. My blue one had a close call though.

Re: To All Florida Members

I survived unscathed by Irma's fury..... very very fortunate as it made landfall about 60 miles south of me. They eye passed right over my house. Lots of trees down and there is a lot of standing water, but non of it is in my house or garage.

I hope everyone is as lucky!
