Southern Trans Am Regionals Show
SOUTHERN TRANS AM REGIONALS SHOW
MARCH 15-17, 2002
UNIVERSITY MALL - PENSACOLA, FLORIDA
Just passing the word. I will, of course, be there, even though I don't have a 'bird.
I may even sport a temporary thirdgen.org banner for it (I am vehemently 'anti-sticker', so it's a big deal..hehe)
Find out about it here: http://www.angelfire.com/fl5/southerntransamshow/

I have a black 89 RS hardtop and a blue 86 Z28 convertable. I'm driving the 'vert these days because I'm waiting on a new centerlink from Summit. Whatcha got Cal87roc? Pensacola has a lot of good looking thirdgens running around. I'd like to see more of them on here. I just saw another on the side of the road, I was gonna offer a few bucks for. It's an 84 Z28. If it's a 5-speed I'm definitely gonna get it. I should never have sold my old 84Z 5-speed. See ya'll at the show. And I'll take some pics to post here (for jobryan and others.. )

I'm thinking Saturday since more people tend to be off of work or school on weekends (like me for instance). But it's just an educated guess.. That's when I'll go in any case.

Hey all. I went today. There was a HUGE 4th gen turnout, but not a great deal of thirdgens. I saw gtauto's car in person; recognized that one right off the bat (nice car, man, too bad you weren't hanging around it so I could actually talk to you..). That 24k gold plated 'bird that you occasionally see pics of floating around was there as well. As tacky as it sounds, it actually looks pretty good in person, and you gotta appreciate the work the man has put into it and his obvious love of the car. There was some nice Camaros parked outside, too. Wonder if any of them were from the board? I probably would have seen even more people, but I got there kinda late in the day, and the weather was kinda crap (overcast, foggy). There were plates from Texas, Louisianna, Alabama, Georgia, South Carolina, New Jersey, and people from south Florida there.
I may check it out again late Sunday to see if there's anything new, and anyone wants to talk. l8 all.

Yeah, definetly a fourth gen show. Had a good talk with Jason from Luisiana (white 87 GTA) and other guys like that 24K gold TA owner. He doesn't really drive it, just hauls it from show to show. If you got there late there were a lot of guys that had left before 3:00. On Sunday they are going to do the final jugging and awards at 4:30 or so.
Anyways if you missed it I posted some pictures in another thread. I love that paint job on the red/black TA and the black w/blue accents Firehawk.
I will be going again on Sunday afternoon to take more pictures and look around some more (had the wife with me today).
Later,
Ozzy

Yeah, the black with blue accents was a nice car. That was an awesome shade of blue.
Did you see that green 91 or 92 GTA with the T-ram? Was that a Firehawk (I'm not up to par on the Firebirds, more of a Camaro guy )?

On a crappy sidenote: on the way back from the show, someone had just run their maroon possibly 91/92 Camaro off the road and nosefirst down a steep ditch. Hope they were okay and the car is repairable.

Yeah the black TA was a Firehawk. I was there for the awards and they said there were I think 127 entries. Got some more pictures including some from the Black Bird. Very nice car. Will post them tonight on the other thread.
Should've heard that TTA when he left the parking lot. I sounded awesome.
