FS: L98 and 700R4 complete setup
Hi, I have a low mileage 350 TPI and 700R4 that originally came out of a 1990 GTA, which is currently running and driving in my 1969 LeMans. (I bought it that way). I want to sell the motor and transmission.
The car is still running and driving, so I'd like to find a buyer for it now, who can check it out in full operation, before I remove it from the car. The motor and trans, and of course the harness and front end accessories, which include original R-4 compressor, probably won't be available until December or January.
A bit of history on this:
As the story goes, in 1990, a wrecked GTA with low mileage (well under 10,000 miles) was purchased as a donor car for this LeMans project. The engine got installed using an aftermarket MAF engine harness based on the 1989 setup. It was driven a little after it was installed, but it mostly sat around, and before I bought it in 2012 it had sat in a warehouse for about 10 years. I've put less than 5000 miles on it in the time I've had it.
I've decided to resto-mod the LeMans with a new AME chassis and LS3 motor, so I'd like to sell off the engine and trans while it's still operational and can be demonstrated. It has some awesome Hedman headers on it, but I'm not sure they're CARB compliant in a factory setup.

I guess AME got busy, my frame won't be ready for a few weeks yet, so everything is delayed. I made a video so you can see it and hear it run.
I'm guessing I could pull the motor around the Christmas holidays.
check it out (and excuse me mixing up the TPS with the MAF):

I've had a offer of $1200. I'll let him have it for that unless I get a better offer.
BTW, the engine might be available earlier than I originally thought.
