SoCal goes to NorCal dyno day Oct 15th

After the fun we had when NorCal came down to SoCal for a dyno day, now they have convinced me to head up to NorCal to tune their cars on their local dyno.

https://www.facebook.com/events/1462766243749392/

NorCal's dyno is at:

Auto Start
9291 Bendel Place #120
Elk Grove, California 95624
http://www.autostart.ws/

The event will be Saturday October 15th. I'm hoping to leave on Friday and stay until at least Sunday.

Sacramento Raceway's test'n'tune is that Saturday night. After the dyno day, the NorCal guys say we're going to head there and watch the racers. Sunday we'll have a cruise and a bar-b-q or something like that.

Who's interested in driving up there and meeting the NorCal thirdgenners?

Don is not able to make it, so I am going alone. My plan is to take the Amtrak bus from Union Station in LA to Bakersfield, then jump on the Amtrak train north to Sacramento. I'll be staying with one of the NorCal guys.
Anyone in SoCal or CenCal want to join me?

Re: SoCal goes to NorCal dyno day Oct 15th

Sorry for the late reply here, but I thought I should give an update.

Don ended up going with me. We rented a car and made the drive Friday morning. No issues until we go to Turlock, about 90 minutes South of Sacramento, then the rains came. It rained on and off the rest of Friday. We stopped at the dyno place on the way up, and met Bennie and his employees at his shop. Then we continued on to Sacramento and met up with my friend Eddie, who we were staying with.

The next morning we traveled back to the dyno place. There were a few sprinkles but no rain, thankfully. Unfortunately the dyno broke down and we were unable to get any pulls. But I did do some street tuning on three cars, and the owners said they were very happy with the results.

It was a lot of fun meeting the NorCal guys and I can't wait to do it again. NorCal has some very pretty scenery!! Its not all concrete up there yet like it is here, LOL.
