Flatbed towing to revive a 92 Camaro? OC-->LA

Hi all,

Longtime reader, first time poster -- I'm hoping to begin the long road of restoring my old 1992 Camaro RS but the first step is bringing it from Orange County where she has been sitting with flat tires for 8 years to a garage in Los Angeles.

My plan is:
1) Borrow/rent/buy an air compressor to fill the tires temporarily
2) Work out a flatbed tow
3) Roll her on and bring her home

For #2, does anyone in the area have experience with a good flatbed solution? Should I hire someone to do the whole thing for a few hundred or try to use a U-haul trailer and do it myself for half the cost?

Thanks -- PG

Go to uhaul and rent a car hauler. It's 65.00 a day. Get the trailer in the morning and return it the next day. I have done it a few times dragging Thirdgens home to build or part out.

Where in OC? I've got a portable compressor and I'm located in Lake Forest.

Mission Viejo — I have a buddy already planning to lend me a compressor but I’ll PM you if plans change. Thanks!

Flat beds are fine but the guy needs blocks to lengthen the bed a little as he pulls the front up. Mine needed a tow after the ICM went out on the 2 South and the engine died with a huge unburnt gasoline in the tailpipe boom!

Realized I never thanked everyone for the input -- got a flatbed for a cheap rate and it worked out great!
