Brake Bleeding

Hey all here is my problem, I have converted to 4th gen rear disc and changed the master cyl. to match. I got the back brake bled and started on the front when I noticed the bleeders were tore up pretty bad. I went to autozone and got 2 new one for each front caliper. Now when I use my vac. pump I get all air when I open the bleeder....but when the bleeder is closed I do lose vac. before I open the bleeder. DID THEY SELL ME THE WRONG bleeder? I tested the pump and it holds vac. on everything else.

Thanks guys

be my first guess that you got the wrong screws. comapre the seats to the old screws since you already know the thread is the same. call them and have them check the PN again.

You know Ede you come through for me again and again thanks...... They didn't have a p/n they just used the old eyes. I got a set from Napa today and they also look the same but time will tell. QUESTION though the master cyl. dripped out so will I need to use my bleeder on it again or will I be able to do it from the caliper?????

UPDATE........I have now pulled the front caliper off the spindel to get a better bite with the hose on the bleeder I still can't keep vac. even before I open the bleeder. Did something happen when I removed the old bleeders?

Thanks
Brian Felts

If all else fails, try the V12 kit from http://www.brakebleeder.com . Lets you do a pressure bleed on the brakes; it saved what was left of my sanity when I swapped to rear discs on my car.
