E-brake help please
E-brake help please
The e-brake for the life of me can hold the tires in gear when in drive. They can't for the life of me hold the car if in reverse.
I'm waiting for good weather before I tear into the brakes again, but I wanted some input on this.
I have disc/drum combo. The fronts are locking accordingly ahead of the rears, and I have been able to powerslide it with all 4 locking with no difference, its just odd to me that in reverse the drums aren't holding.

How long has it been since you have checked out or serviced the rear drums? Odds are the brake adjusters on the bottom are frozen up and aren't doing their job. Either take them apart and lube 'em up or replace them with new ones. That should fix ya.

HI Eb,
I'm going to be looking at my rear pbr's tonight. You mentioned the adjustment screw a while back. Do you remember the size of the allen head? I recal 5mm.
As far as I remember, I'm turning it a few turns clockwise to see if that helps with my problem.
Thanks,
Steve

Hey Steve. I think that's right but it may be a 4mm, it's pretty small.
