how much rubber can you fit?

i was wondering how wide of a tire some of u guys have fit on your third generation's stock chassis. I was wanting to have a 10" wide tire on all 4 corners, but i dont know if there will be enough clearance between the edge of the tire and the wheel well. I was just wondering what some of you are rolling on out there....

I don't think you can go more than a 275/40 in the front. I'm running 315/35's(approx 11.5 wide) out back, but if I was any lower they'd rub the fender lip. - do a search. Fat tire combos have been posted many times on this board.
It also largely depends on the wheel size you intend on running.

your turning circle becomes a PITA with fatter then stock tires. I only have 235/60/R15's on 15x8 up front, maybe I have a poor offset, but getting into parking spots takes two tries due to rubbing on the plastic fenderwell.
