i need to move my camaro 20ft backwards with the aid of a lifted blazer so, where in the rear should the to chains go

front: control arms
rear: axle, or anything around

dont hook to the radiator support, sway bars, steering linkage, the bar behind the rear end (panhard/tracking bar), or muffler

if going around the axle cause the chains to hang up on the exhaust and other things, if you look just ahead of where the lower control arms mount to the body, there are slots in the bottom of the mount, they are for use with recovery hooks, you can put hooks in the slots and pull from there, keeping the chains under the car and not damaging things. Now obviously if the mounts are rusted bad or rotted, dont do it. Dont go crazy pulling the car either. Dont know if its stuck or what the deal is but you dont want to tear the entire rear of the car off.

I would use a different car and just put a tire in between the bumpers but not pushing from the front of the car.

Is it safe to pull a third gen onto the back of a recovery vehicle with the winch hooked on to the rear axle?? Regards, Matthew

yes that is fine.

The big thing to watch out for when pulling a camaro is that you can really mess up body panels if your tow vehicle sits too high.
