Spring Questions

I am going to replace my coil springs on my '84 Camaro should I go with the stock height or go with a lower spring. My concern is that most lowering springs are designed for V8 motors and I have a V6 so I don't think that they would set the car as low, since the V6 isn't as heavy as a V8. Any advice would be appreciated.

The front will not sit as low with a V6, but you can compensate for that if it bothers you by cutting the springs.

Yes, I would just cut a half coil off the springs if you want to lower it a bit. Use a air powered cut-off wheel if you have one. Or else you can torch off the coils, but try to not get more than the one coil you are cutting hot, and also let it air cool, do not quench it with water.
