How many suspension bushings are on a third gen?

I plan to replace all of my suspension bushings at once. Due to it being a seasonal/non-dragged or autocrossed car, I'm going to stay with rubber bushings. That said, I have two questions:

1. How many total suspension related bushings are there that can be replaced?
I ask this because Rock Auto has them listed in various places and I want to make sure that none get forgotten come checkout time.

2. In addition to my LCA bushings looking pretty beat, the overwhelming consensus here is that they - as well as the panhard bar - should be replaced at the same time with one of better quality. I have no problem buying that package but if I do, do those come empty (will I still need new bushings for them) or will they have bushings installed by default? And, if they come with bushings, will I be able to have them be rubber or will I be forced to go poly (which I don't want)?

Thanks in advance!

As I pull from memory:

1. Front sway bar - 2 end links with four bushings per side and the 2 for the sway bar mount would give you a total of 10
2. The front lower control arms have two each so a total of 4
3. Engine mounts - 2
4. Trans mount - 1
4. Torque arm mount - 1
5. Rear lower control arms - 2 per side so a total of 4
6. Panhard rod - one on each end - so 2
7. Sway bar - same as front - 10 total

Once again, this is from memory. Without checking I cannot say with 100% certainty.

Why wouldn't you want to go poly? It's better in about every single way other than being a little stiffer if that's not your thing.

Also, if you're "upgrading" your rear suspension look at getting adjustable LCAs with bushing on both ends and an adjustable panhard. Miles ahead of stock and *should* come with good bushings. The stock pieces out back are piles of ****.

I also would avoid poly and use rubber in a street car. They won't squeak in a few years. I used delalums in my 92 cause it does get autoXed. The rear will get UMI roto joints (also delrin) too.

Re: How many suspension bushings are on a third gen?

Maybe I am getting old, but I replaced my lower control arm bushings, front sway bar end links and mounting bushings with poly and I wish I hadn't.

The ride quality on a daily basis definitely is much more harsh then when it was 30 year old rubber.

I now feel every crack in the pavement at my feet and through the steering wheel which is much worse than before. Probably due to the LCA bushings more than the sway bar, but either way, I don't like the harshness that came from switching to poly.

I swear if I ran over a quarter I could tell you if it was heads or tails!

Some people like this and want to achieve that feeling, but for me I wish I would have stayed rubber.

Excellent example!

My reasons for rubber are to maintain a fairly quiet smoother ride. Two of my friends swapped their cars (GTA and a Formula) to poly and knowing that mine is a seasonal cruiser, they strongly advised to stay away from going poly. Thanks for the advice, especially to n1ffer for the parts count. Man, that's a lot of rubber! What's the average price and does anyone recommended a certain vendor for the rubber? I just assumed Rock Auto would be the place.

ask around at the local stores... you might be surprised how low the prices are, and returns are easy if you get the wrong stuff..

I'm resurrecting this post because that same month, I had to do major electrical work and last year, it was a complete brake upgrade. This year, I'll finally hit the suspension. That said.......

Does anyone have undercar photos I can use for reference? From n1ffers post #2, I'll need the location of: transmission mount and torque arm mount.

Do I need any special tools to remove/install the bushings?
