Lift Bars, Lowering Springs, Lowering Spindles??

I'm trying to make my list and checking it twice and I had a few questions while flipping through my jegs catalog. Do lift bars actually raise the car a few inches??

And second what is the difference in Drop spindles and drop springs, other than the obvious. Which is between and which do most of you use? I’d like to lower only the front end of my car about 2 inches or 1 ½.

Thanks for any help. J

They both can drop your car 2" but the spindels would be the best because they don't mess with your front end geometry with the 2" lowering but you have to find really stiff springs becuae if you have the stock one you are now even more likly to bottom out....I have lowering springs they lower the car and are stiff so they make the car handle better that way too. I wish someone made stiff stock ride hight springs to go with the spindels.

Car: '86 IROC-Z + Misc. project cars.
Engine: Supercharged + Nitrous TPI 355 CID
Transmission: Art Carr built Th700r4
Lift bars only raise the car when under acceleration. They convert the twisting energy of the rear axle into lifting force. Otherwise the rear of the car sits on the springs and they determine the rear ride height.
You can lower the front with springs up to about an inch or so without having too much of an effect on front suspension geometry. You can go further but you will begin to experience increased bumpsteer, and a little more camber loss.
If going more than 1"-1 1/4" or so in the front, it is a good idea (although not entirely necessary) to use drop spindles.

I have heard good thing about the Eibach Pro-Kit springs. They lower it 1-1 1/2 inches, thats what I am going to use.
