Like GD said, the WS6 boxes tend to be a tighter ratio (tighter meaning turning the wheel a certain distance turns the tires more). If it's an HX marked high effort box it will have less power steering assist (which some associate with more steering feel).
These cars generally have pretty good steering feel no matter what box is in them, even the normal effort boxes are not excessively boosted and the regular travel boxes aren't like similar vintage regular boxes (they're modern steering ratios, not like typical muscle car ratios or even early 80's car ratios). If your steering feels sloppy I'd suggest something in the front end is worn out or loose.
As a side note if you decide to try to get a close ratio 12.7:1 box good luck with trying to find a real one. I've posted in multiple threads here and even linked a few videos of me testing them. I've bought/ordered and tested literally dozens of them at various stores and have NEVER found one in the box that was correct. I ended up rebuilding my own.

Did you actually check the ratios of your Lares and AGR boxes?
I think I shot video but didn't post it of checking a Lares box and it definitely was not 12.7:1, and there's a youtube video of a guy checking an AGR box that is also not 12.7:1 even though both were supposed to be.

Bench tested both. They were identical to my original that had never been replaced (without the leaks...)
First Lares box had binding, though. Had to get a replacement from them.

Did you actually check the ratios of your Lares and AGR boxes?

take a 12.7 apart and pull a 12.1 apart and look at the diff.. I took the 12.7 apart before I had it plated..and sent it back to AGR to have them put it back together...as the kits sold to put them back together do not have some of the parts needed...I wish I would have taken photos.. I did not think about it till I could not get a kit with the right parts..AGR only charged $200 to put it back together.. a drop in the bucket...
