Hawks motorsports 10:1 gear box
Has anyone purchased this? I was not aware our cars ever came with a 10:1 ratio option. What did these come out of if our cars never had this? My concern is the gears being all worn out on these remanufactured boxes. Maybe these are new gears to get a 10:1 ratio? Does anyone know who is rebuilding these for Hawks?

The 10:1 box is available new, from the manufacturer and I don't think ever came in a production car. It is made for racing purposes, so it is not a rebuilt product. Someone here, I believe, bought one and gave a review, but it was years ago

Scooter is correct. 10:1 is not a factory ratio. Fastest factory box is 12.7:1 (commonly referred to as 12:1). Any 10:1 box would use new internals. We run the Turn One 10:1 gear so I won't make any judgements on the Hawks unit.

I talked to Hawks and they said it is a new unit as far as the internals. I ordered it and the Detroit speed intermediate shaft. I will give feedback on both when I get them installed
