after Ultimate TBI....

Well, after it was all put back together something wasn't right. My car just wouldn't hold any charge AT ALL. I had the alternator tested and it wasn't that, so I began to look at the wiring. I ended up finding a section of crispy burned out fusable link. Well I fixed that. This of course is all after I screwed up my return fuel line and had to replace it. Then today, my car started sputtering so I checked things over it it turns out that my incoming fuel line to the throttle body was leaking gas. I tried all I could but I just cant get the thing to get in there all the way and stay in there. I cant use lock-tite cause the gas would just eat right through it. It doesn't look like the threads are bad or anything. It just wont go back together and I'm getting really frustrated with it. I'm scared that since the line it right next to the distributer that I might get some gas too close to it or get it or the vapors in the cap or something and be in for a "car-be-cue" somewhere in the ghetto. does anybody have any suggestions for me? Please post them. I" wont be able to check back until Wednesday cause I have to go out of town, but I"ll appreciate any help with this. I know it doesn't sound like a big problem but I assure you that no matter what I do it just isn't working out.
Oh yeah, for anybody who wanted to know what kind of performance gain I noticed with the ultimate mods, none really until I get into the higher RPMs. From about 50 to 70 it seems to pull alot harder and it's easier to pass people on the highway., I haven't had it about 70 yet, but hopefully I can get things fixed and see how it does at around 90. Thanks for any and all help!

Have you checked or replaced the o-ring for the fitting? You haven't described what part of the line is leaking (through threads, along tube). It shouldn't leak past the threads cause the o-ring should be squeezed at the bottom of the fitting. THe threads aren't supposed to seal.

Anytime the fuel lines are disconnected the white plastic o-rings in the connectors have to be replaced or you'll have a leak as you've found out. I bought a TBI Gasket kit from Autozone for about $15 that had all the necessary gaskets. You could probably just try and get the fuel line o-ring from an auto parts store or from the dealership.
