I need help!!! I'm rebuilding my 89 305 TBI in my autoshop class in school, but time is running short and I didn't label as well as I should have. I'm not sure where the different bolts and brackets go on the intake and exhaust manifolds. It would be great if someone has done this rebuild and taken lots of pictures and everything. Please help!!! I just need to know which brackets go where on the exhaust and intake. Thanks a lot.

 

brackets on exhaust manifolds? no headers? sorry but i didnt take pics of my motor when i took it out. brackets on intake manifold, put them on when its in the car. keep everything off of the intake manifold until u install it.

 

after its in, u'll see where everything bolts up. i got pictures of my redone engine...email me if u want them. u can see where all the stuff goes. i dunno how to attach a pic yet.

 

just be careful when it comes to the bolts, i never heard of anyone else having this problem, but when i did my 91 birds intake and cam swap last summer, i put a bolt in for the intake that was a little too long, it was the same lenth as the others (at least it seemed that way), but the second or third bolt back on the pass side NEEDS a short bolt, because my bolt was rubbing the pushrod, and bent it a little.
