454 TBI notes
I stumbled across these on the 454SS website, and they might be useful reads. These may have been posted/linked here before, but in the event they haven't... FYI:

I would like someone to confirm what was said in the first article about the 746 ecm.
Quote:
I mentioned the Camaro computer, and here is why it is significant. The Camaro computer is designed to "pulse" the injectors (ie: a pair of Holley B2 injectors) once per every crank revolution, and in some cases once per every two crank revolutions. By doing so, you can eliminate 3 to 7 of the turn on/off injector events as compared to what you would have with a TBI computer! This lets the Holley B2 injectors do what they like to do best.......flow fuel!
This could be significant for getting more HP at hiigher rpm. But from what I've read in the past this just isn't so.

The article is incorrect.
The '8063, '8746 & '7747 ECMs all fire an injector each time
a spark plug fires. The injectors alternate in firing. So, each
injector will fire every other spark plug firing. Or, each injector
twice per revolution.

I sent an email to the author of the article, and cc'd it to the Howell address that the author was quoting from. I asked them for comments to the thread. We'll see what comes back. - Ken

UPDATE:
I recvd a note in reply to the thread I started. For confidentiality's sake (the source, and where the source works), I have done some editing to it but the content is untouched:
"The information you are questioning is directly from a XXXXX XXXX XXXXX. ...... I suspect the info (cited on the web site) is correct. I suppose that there is a possibility he made an error, but I have not seen this in the past (i.e. an error is unlikely).
I hope this helps out in your discussion."

The TBI ECMs operate as I previously mentioned.
