how do i test the fuel pressure?

Ok i just made my afpr and the car runs mega rich now with the fp bumped up like 3/16". I am running nitrous and i would like to get the proper jet size BUT i need to know the F.P. for the calculator. It will bog really bad on spray now due to it running very rich. I pulled a plug yesterday and it was very fat. Wouldnt i need to know the F.P. after the reg or will an inline guage work?

You need to measure fuel pressure before the regulator, on the bigger 3/8" fuel line. You have two options for installing a FP gauge.

You can go to Autozone and get a fuel pressure tester that hooks in between your metal and rubber fuel lines and has a shraeder valve on it to check FP. It's made by Actron and they cost about $50, IIRC. If you do a search you can find the exact name and part number.

Your other option is to buy a 3/8" tee and a mechanical, liquid filled fuel pressure gauge with at least a 0-15 PSI range and it install in the rubber fuel line. This is the route I took and it's cheaper at about $20-$25. If you do a search you can find pictures of them installed. I still have the part numbers from Summit Racing if you want them.

i wanted something perminant like a guage from summit or something. I just needed to know where to mount it before or somehow after the regulator.
