Is anybody running......

Is anybody running an Edelbrock Performer TBI with 416 heads. I would like to see a picture of the 4 center bolt holes on the manifold. They will have to be ovaled and there is not much material there to begin with.

Also...

If I removed all material on the out side of the bolt hole and made it into a U-shape, do you think I will have problems with air leaks? Keep in mind with this set up and the angle the center bolts go in at, the outside of the bolt holes do not receive direct downforce pressure from the bolts anyway.

Opinions wanted.

Thanks.

I did this with a performer rpm intake with no problems. I did make some wedge shaped washers out of some pipe so that helped too. I did not have to cut clear through but I have seen some guys do it that way with no problems.

Wedge shaped washers out of some pipe. Hmmm. Good idea. Thanks Monte.

No, no problems. Just wondering about the center bolt holes.
