is the truck copmputer on the latter models of the tbi equipped trucks faster or sumthing beacause i might be purchasing one and alot of the guys with them do alot of mods and they still run fine unlike these cars (i wish i could keep my camaro too much moeny though)

 

It has nothing to do with the speed of the processor, it has everything to do with the complexity of the code. They can't get away with as much as you might think, throw a set of big injectors and cam and it'll run like poo too Some of the guys on here are running the newer ecm's because of the better code. When it comes down to it, you need to be able to tweak the ECM if you want to play with FI, lucky for you both ecm's are completely hacked out and very tunable.
