Umm yet another problem I can't figure out
The camaro has a problem again. The problem is the worst when I first start her up and head out. There is a white cloud of smoke most of teh time at startup. After a couple minutes af driving and especially going up an onramp (while cold). I'll be giving her gas steadly increasing and it will boog down and of course I give it more gas cause I'm SLOWING down trying to get to that 70mph highway speed. After a couple more seconds of this I hear a loud pop from UNDER the hood on the drivers side of the motor and bam the problem is gone. She takes off like a bat out of hell. Once on the highway at speed the same kinda thing happens only this time I'm going much faster. She just bogs down untill the pedal is far enough down that the tranny shifts and problem is gone. This only happens at lower rpms. While this is happening the car shakes enough to notice. At WOT there doesn't seem to be any problem even when starting from a dead stop.
Things I've changed or checked since this started.
distrubutor has been replaced with new module and pickup.
ignition coil has been changed
new plugs and wires
oil change
checked the valve springs (broke one before on other side of motor)
fuel pressure is set at 12 psi and doesn't drop (I have the TPI fuel pump)
oil pressure seems fine and raises as soon as throttle is opened
Any more trouble shooting advice would greatly appreciated. Anymore mods will be i the sig.

Interesting problem.
I kinda have the same problem. When my car is heating up it will bog down untill I get the pedal far enough down for it to pick up.
I've replaced everything did a tune up 4 times, new ECM, pump etc, and its still there!
I took it to a mechanic to check out what the problem is and at first they thought it could be a clogged converter. Than the manifold vacum was 17hg in park, and it would drop to 0 in drive. TO me this indicates a vacum leak.
Is you idle lower than usual??
Is the car bogging after it warms up, or before??
What were the things you put on the car before this happened??

well I figured the problem was ignition related where the computer was retarding the timing for some reason so I replaced the distrubutor with another one from my favorite auto store just in case the pickup or module went out. I checked over a few other things at the same time but nothing stands out in my head as the one TRUE fix. I unplugged the knock sensor to see if it was getting alot of knock but the problem was still the same. I have the TPI fuel pump installed for my motor so I backed the fuel pressure down to 11psi and the motor responded alot better. I don't know what would have made it go haywire in the first place since it was fine for so long before all this came up. I had a brokin valve spring not to long ago which kinda gave it the same symptoms so I started there with no luck. Oh I also put a new distibutor rotor on because when I pulled the cap there was dust inside the cap. The accel rotor wasn't down far enough and was wearing away the cap. I blew the dust out and reinstalled it. I think that had the greatest affect. The problem is hardly there anymore but I can't put any one change I did to fixing it. I don't know!!!
