My Dyno results

Here's a rundown of my "ahem" power making mods:

pulleys, headers, dual cats, 3" cat back,
Accel digital ignition, stock size K&N filter with the Extreme K&N top, with fuel presure at about 12-14psi

My car has 140,000 miles on it with plugs and oil in need of a change too.

Horse power peaked at 3900 and stayed close until about 4200 where it fell like a "two ton heavy thing".
Torque peaked at 2600 and slowy droped from there.
Both were very smooth in accent and decent on the graph.

156 hp at 3900
242 tq at 2600

You definitely need to get yourself headers. When I had mine dyno'd it had TES headers, 3" cat, Flowmaster American Thunder 3" cat back, 14 x 3" K&N open element, JET stage 2 chip, And Accel Supercoil. It also had extremely worn down plugs (platinum electrode was worn about 1/16" into insulator!), and a bad cooling fan switch. By the end of the run the engine was sucking on 240* air, so I know it should have made more power. What it ended up with was 170hp @ 5500 rpm, and 310 ft/lbs @ 2500 rpm. I'd guess that if it was running at its normal 160*, the peak hp would have been closer to 190-200 at the rear wheels...

Andy,
I have TES headers on it.
The torque numbers you got don't sound right to me.

I also forgot to mention an ADS chip and a hot wired cooling fan in 90 degree weather.

Duh, I looked right past where you said headers...:P My timing when I made that run was at 4* advance, it's a noticable difference, but it shouldn't be that much. The dyno run I made was with SC3GFB, so there were several other f-bodies there. A completely stock down to the air filter TBI RS put 150hp to the rear wheels. There's definitely something wrong for you to be putting only 6 more hp than that with all your mods. The torque I got really surprised me too, but that's what the dyno showed...

Wouldn't his ADS Chip advance his timing a little bit?

I guess not all cars or dynos are created equal.
I've seen some mustang guys post their dyno numbers that were in the 150hp range also.
Keep in mind they're rated at 215 horses also not the 170 of the LO3.
I was figuring on about 150 myself.
