Does this sound like a good set up?

Ive got a 305 TBI LO3 my current mods are listed below. Does this sound like a good setup? What horsepower/torque improvements will this make. Edelbrock Performer TBI Intake, Crane Compu-cam(208/214) (.438"/.452"),and World Productions S/R Torquers Heads.

Current mods: edelbrock tes headers, gutted cat, flowmaster 80 series, k&n filtercharger
k&n x-treme flow top plate.

Well, I can't really say since I haven't done heads/cam or intake mods. But I can say that in order for all those to run right you will need a custom chip burned. Otherwise, ur car will run ****ty and u won't notice any power out of those mods. I suggest getting a chip burned by someone who has a dyno and can put ur car on there. Also, u will need to upgrade ur tbi to probably a 670cfm tb unit. Cause there is no way in hell that engine is going to run with that stock tb unit.

looks like w/ a higher flowing cfm TBI and maybee some more "small" mods, you'll be close to or on your way to 300 horse.

you can't put a 670 TBI on an edelbrock intake. NJ speedster has stock cam but better heads than the SR torquers and runs 14.3.

Why couldn't you put the Holley 670 TBI on top of an Edelbrock intake? I've got one on top of my Edelbrock intake (Torker II) with a Holley adaptor between 'em.

I meant to say you can't put a 670 TB on the edelbrock TBI intake because the bores are stock size.

Why not just bore out the edelbrock's holes in the intake to 2" so that they would work together. That would fix ur problem.

i dunno, that isnt that much of a huge difference to make the car run like crap without a custom chip. look at my signature..i have a few more mods than you, and i still dont have a custom chip. my car runs pretty good without one. i mean, yeah, you will need one eventually, but its not going to be a matter of running like crap vs. running perfect. i would say it would still run pretty damn good without a custom chip, but better with one. just my 2 cents.

You might want to look into a ramair hood to complement your open element

No mods yet...Hopefully:
Convert to dual-cat with headers and Borla catback exhaust.
Edelbrock MPFI system.
RAM air hood & Z28 wing.
Z28 cam.
ABS system.
Positraction rearend with rear disc brakes.
Rebuilt front and rearend suspension with polygraphite bushings.
Strutbrace.
Rollbar.
