I was sold .045 Gap...No Good?

I went to the local parts store and got AC Delco Rapidfires for my car, and I never even looked at them til I got home. (yes I know I'm a moron). Anyway, they are gaped at .045. I'm assuming the parts guys sold me the wrong plugs, because I've always used .035 gap.

Is this correct, or is .045 fine for a stock L03?!

Thanks in advance.

I miss seeing the sun shine down on the black #3 car.

The rapidfires cant be regaped, or at least that is what I was told by my friends at AutoZone. The comptuer screen says real big on it ****DO NOT REGAP****

The car has ran fine with 'em in.

Chuck!

Thanks. I read on the plug box DO NOT RE-GAP. I'm glad to hear it works fine in yours. In the past I had always gotten regular AC Delcos, but I foolishly asked for Rapidfires this time. I wonder why their (Rapidfires) LO3 one's are gapped at .045 and regular Delcos are .035?

Thanks again.

They make a better spark so they can jump a larger gap! If you regap them you will probably break the serrated tip. It looks like a little star, thats why I bought them. I swear!
