Lt1 cam Question?
Lt1 cam Question?
Putting in a camshaft very soon.....and on the timing gear...should i put the timing gear....should i leave it a 0 degrees....most chain setups have like a 3 adv or 3 neg timing....also i've heard of ppl advancing there timing......is this done by rotating the distributer?

If you retard it it just moves the power up in the band, but you lose a litle down stairs. I'd say put it at "0" for drivability, that's where mine is and it works great. When they say advance the timing, yes it means to set the initial up by turning the dist. I'd say set it at 6 degrees, it works for me.
