TBI recomendations..
what combinations are you all running? I am building a TBI motor for my suburban and would like some input on aftermarket heads and cams, and how well each works. I am using a 350 block from a 98 tahoe. Any info you guys can give me would be great!! thanks

Car: yy wife, crazy.
Engine: 350, Vortecs, 650DP
Transmission: TH-350
Axle/Gears: 8.5", 3.42
Do not change those heads!!!!! The engine you're talking about has the Vortec heads that everyone and their brother has been talking about ever since they came out. IF you do anything, take them off and pocket port them A LITTLE!!!!! Don't hog them out too much or you'll mess up the runner and chamber design that it took GM about 40 yrs to get damn near perfected. And back cut the exhaust valves at a 30 deg. angle.
As far as a cam goes, that depends on what you want outta your truck. Are you gonna be pulling or hauling stuff? Or are you looking to just flat out haul A$$?
You don't wanna go to agressive with the cam period just because of the weight of a Suburban. They weigh in around 12 tons right?
Is your's a 4x4 or 2 wd.? Are you gonna be muddin' a lot?
Actually another good question is (which I bet not too many people know. I don't) is it a roller cam? That itself will dictate what size cam you should use is.
Fill us in a little more about what you wanna do and I bet a lot of people on here can help you a great deal.

This truck will be used as a tow vehicle for my buddys boat. Yes, this is a roller block, sorry, the heads didnt come with it. It will have a set of Dart Iron Eagles on it, an edelbrock TBI manifold and TES system, Roller rockers, ect... Good power is a must, as it will most likely be street driven alot... thanks
