I have 3 sending units and two of them I can't figure out what the heck they are. Both of them have something to do with the cooling system, but I don't know what their function is.

One of them is on the right head (which the manual says in the fan switch). This has a single wire going to it.

Another one is on the left head...again, one wire going to it.

The last one is in the intake manifold next to the thermostat housing. This has a two-wire plug going to it.

I'm guessing that the one on the manifold if the temp gauge sending unit. Right? But what the heck is the one on the left head?

My temp gauge isn't working so I'm trying to figure out what needs to be changed.

The one in the right (passenger side) head is for the fan.
The one in the left (driver's side) head is for the gauge.(some have a round pin, some have a square pin).
The one in the front of the intake manifold is for the computer.(coolant temp sensor)
Looks like the one you need to change is the one in the left head.
