Looking for the right Combo.
Looking for the right Combo.
Now that I have freed my exhaust, and some of my intake clog, I am looking to find the right intake manifold/head combo to go along with my camshaft (95 Z28 LT1 + 1.6:1 RR's) choice. I have been looking at Vortec heads w/ Edelbrock performer RPM vortec intake manifold, but I want to make sure I get a balanced combo, so I can get the most driveability & power out of it. Any suggestions?
Thanks,
Clint

Don't forget about the 350 shortblock to go under your new heads and intake. That would make for a good combo. The vortec heads will have to be milled down to get the correct c/r of 9.5/1 if used on a 305.

Yes, your right. I can pick one up for about 600 bucks, I'll want to convert it from flat tappet to a roller cam setup. But no problem. No point in throwing these parts at my 138k 305, when I can have a fresh 383 or 350. I have got to make some room in the garage
