would a TBI intake fit on a carburated 305 block? i changed my intake gasket on my 92 5.0 tbi firebird but its smoking alot ever since...... the rear water jacket on the left and right intake gaskets are both blocked off even though the intake jackets are fully open. on the carburated version, they're both open at the rear of the gaskets. i'm thinking someone changed the engine before i bought the car and just swapped intakes. thats the only reason i can see why it would be smoking so bad. also, after changing the gasket over and over to try and fix it, i noticed that on the rear jackets there was a small leak. possibly because the pressure caused by the blocked jackets on the gasket?
