MSD coil issues.

MSD coil issues.

anybody here using the msd streetblaster coil , im having clearance issues . it wont clear the intake manifold runner " #7 " so i can only bolt one side down . and if i bolt it on the opposite side of the coil it hits the dizzy cap . btw this is with the installation kit it came with . what did you do to fix this ?

I had issues when installing aftermarket coils before on my tbi setup. I ended up elongating the mounting bracket bolt holes to allow a little more flexibility in position. Maybe try some longer mounting bolts and some spacers underneath to raise it up a bit? Any pictures of the problem? May help with fixing the issue for you

I bought an MSD blasterfor my 91 rs and id have clearance issues. Especially with the KN 3x14 Open element. My solution (temporary) was to only affix one bolt and bend the holder a bit. It fits and i noticed a slight increase in response. Btw I didnt go with th street fire it is an all red case even around te bolt holes.

I mounted mine to the firewall next to the windshield washer motor
