Knock Sensor

Hi all,
I'm converting to a TBI on my 88 Caprice, 350. Will it matter where I install the knock sensor? I have a hole on either side of the engine but would like to stay away from the starter. Any comments?
Thanks.

Re: Knock Sensor

Either side works. I tried both sides on one 350 conversion and gotten same amount of false knock.
