Value of tbi components?

Hello friends, I recently bought my first Camaro, a 1991 originally equipped with a 305 tbi. I have decided to drop in a 350 and I've decided that I would like to convert the fuel system to a carbureted setup because I feel that it will be easier to tune and work on. In order to raise money for my project I've searched around the for sale and tbi forums looking to find out what my tbi setup is worth if I were to put it up for sale.

The only thing that I know is wrong with my tbi setup is that one of the injectors is being held in place with a zip tie. I would like to know how much the system is worth, and what components will a buyer be looking for? I am not trying to sell these parts in this post, just trying to find out what I could get for it. I apologize if I missed an earlier posting that answers this question.

Thanks

The TBI stuff is very common, a lot of people have the perception of it being poor for performance, and hard to tune. You are gonna be hanging on to it for a while if you want to sell it. I ended up scrapping my old TBI setup if that tells you anything. $0.50 / pound of clean aluminum.

Re: Value of tbi components?

yeah unfortunately it's pretty worthless. TBI has gotten a bad rep of a glorified carburetor....I like the TBI. I think it is a great setup. But I have enough spare tbi stuff....

Re: Value of tbi components?

It is worth exactly what YOU would pay to have it...nothing.
Give the parts to someone that needs them...if you can find one.

Re: Value of tbi components?

Have you considered upgrading to EBL flash http://dynamicefi.com/ and getting a set of 350 tbi injectors?
This would make the whole 350 tbi swap and tuning really easy.
