Anyone know if a 350 TBI from an 87 Chev 4 x 4 bolt into an 83 TA with a 5 speed? I'm wondering if I would need a different oil pan and not sure how the two piece seal would work with the original transmission.

I have the 350 TBI spare and am trying to talk myself out of (or into) buying a local 83 TA that needs an engine.

You'll need the flywheel too, the newer blocks have a different crank flange. If the tbi oil pan clears everything then use it, but the 83 pan wont work on the tbi engine.
