Starting Problem with 92 Camaro 305 TBI

I have a 1992 Camaro RS with 305. The car has a problem and I have no idea what's causing it. First off, when I turn it over, it will crank until it stops cranking, but won't start. If I turn it over and give it gas, it will turn on, but it will shut off. I have to rev the RPM's to 1000 to 1,300 and keep it there until it warms up, otherwise the car will shut off/bog out and turn off. I have no idea what it is. I checked for codes and it said it was code 13 and 32. I checked 3 days later and code 32 went away. I need help with this. I plan on changing my spark plugs today since I already have new plugs I was going to put in my 97 camaro. Friday is pay day, therefore, I'm doing maintenance such as oil change, transmission change, new air filter, coolant flush, fuel cleaning, and an alignment. My work does all of this except an alignment. What could the problem be caused by? Also, I took a picture of a hose from the air filter housing that was disconnected/broken off and I don't know if that is the problem which is highly unlikely. Any help will be greatly appreciated as I'm trying to get this car to run better without problems to keep as a daily.

Where can I buy a K&N Air Filter and how much will it cost?

Thank You!

Re: Starting Problem with 92 Camaro 305 TBI

im trying to understand your problem here, from what im gathering this is whats happening

when you try and start the car, (foot off the gas pedal) it will crank and crank but wont fire, but if you give it a little gas it will run but stall if you let out of it?

our cars run on speed density, a combination of readings from the iat (intake air temp sensor) and map (manifold air pressure sensor)

with that being said it leads me to believe you may have a problem with the map sensor not reading right, try unplugging your map sensor, iirc the ecu will command injectors to pulse according to the tps signal.

I had the same problem, after doing some research on here I replaced the IAC valve which seems to be a pretty common thing. That didn't work so I checked the fuel pressure and it was low. Put in a new fuel pump and it started right up. If you do it yourself it's fairly cheap. Have someone else do it and it's going to cost quite a bit.

I'll go ahead and do that. Today its been starting up fine by just turning it over. Most of the time i have to give it gas for about 10 seconds and slowly let off to make sure it doesn't stall.
