Re: fuel pressure

Please search before posting. This has been covered many, many times.

GM TBI systems don't have a pressure tap. You need to buy an in-line tap, and the gauge to connect it to.

There are two primary styles of in-line pressure tap. One kind fits in the port of the TBI where the fuel inlet would go, the other replaces the fuel filter.

Typical TBI pressure is 9--13 psi; although some systems go higher. The service manual for your vehicle will tell that tale.

Re: fuel pressure

I use the "Actron 7817", with the T on the feed line next to the alternator. I also fix the gauge under the wiper arm, to verify if the pressure drops under load. Pressure must stay constant.

Here is a pic of the inline T adapter https://www.thirdgen.org/forums/atta...-t-adapter.jpg

I would suggest using an AFPR and set pressure to 13 PSI.

Re: fuel pressure

Not sayin this is the proper way but i found a fuel pressure gauge that came with a T meant for rubber lines so i just cut the rubber feed line and put it there. Works for me
