I saw in your sig that you had the SLP Tri-Y headers I just bought a set of stainless tri-Y's for $350 shipped. I cant find them on SLP's website and was wondering if they still make them, what they cost new, how you like them, how they compare to others, and how do they sound???? oh yeah here is a pic of them Thanks matt

I can't compare them against any other headers because I've never used any others nor have I heard of anybody with dyno charts comparing one against another.
They're only 1 5/8" primaries but they're built for mid range. The tri-y is an expensive design but seems to work very well. These were a dealer option for $1000!
From what I've been told by others on the exhaust board, these headers are rare and worth the cash. My car came with them from the previous owner and it was one of the reasons I bought the car. I didn't know at the time that they were stainless and the older design, I figured they were the SLP 4-1 but suprise suprise.
If I can get to the track soon and work on my launch I think it'll be obvious that either or both TBI and SLP tri-y work very well. They're very hard to find but when you do find them, make sure you've got the cash.
The only problem with them is the actual parts design. There are 2 more gaskets (which aren't made anymore) and if you notice the drivers side part of the y-pipe has 2 pipes into one. Those 2 pipes are ontop of each other instead of next to and this puts the lower pipe close to the ground, just slightly under the engine crossmember. I've got a bunch of scrapes on mine but it's nothing serious. Repairable but no leaks so no reason.

teh peak hp of tri-y's and 4into1's are generally about teh same. teh scavenging advantage of teh tri-y design aloows for a better torque curve. the peak numbers will likely be close if not exactly the same, but the average torque will go up a lot.
