Please help diagnose this problem. Clutch? Tranny or ? Please look inside.

I have a 305tbi t-5. It started to make a grinding or rubbing noise when the clutch was disengaged, car in gear, and at around 2000rpm. If I let the rpms fall, it will stop. If I take a little pressure off the clutch pedal it stops. the car drives fine when in gear. When I have the tranny in gear, with the clutch pedal to the floor, the back wheel still spins if I give it gas. Its not fast, but it spins. Ive replaced throwout bearing, slave cylinder, clutch master cylinder, and clutch ball stud. I bought a lakewood fork, but it isnt long enough from the pivot point to the forks for the throwout bearing. Any suggestions please send them this way. I noticed play in the input shaft on the tranny. At least an 1/8", I think its more. Can the tranny be going? The clutch has about 30,900 miles on it. Im really having problems with this. Thanks guys.

sounds like the clutch is not disengaging all the way, the rubbing your hearing is the clutch riding on the flywheel. there should be some sort of adjustment procedure which will allow you to fully disengage the clutch, but I'm not a clutch kind of guy so I can't say for sure.

SORRY !!!

How long have you had this problem?
Are you leaking any fluid from the clutch hydraulic system?
The slave cylinders are notorious for breaking since the ears that hold it to the tranny are plastic.
How does it shift? Any stiffness, like it doesn't want to go into the next gear?

It's your pilot bushing / bearing. It is in the back of the crank. The front of the clutch gear rides in it.
