Starting Problem
Hey I went to crank up my car, and nothing just a click, and I did it two more times and it fired up, went to a number of places and it didn't do it again. Well after a few hours after I got back, it did it again. Is it my Starter, thats what I m leaning toward.

yeah well my selanoid, bolt got kinda of screwed up, when I did my motorswap, it makes contact but not as good as it should, I hope it s just something as simple as that, cause with my luck it's never that easy.I plan to do a oil change/senor replacement, tomorrow so I'll check it tomorrow.

oh yeah, it kind of reminds me of like a bad battery, the way it struggles to turn the motor, but its a new battery so I think it's the connection. I hope anyway

That is the same problem I am having. Just a click a couple times before it starts up. Been goin on for about 6 months now. I changed out the starter and it still does it. Have not been able to figure out what it is. I took it to a shop and they told me it was the starter. Ofcourse I had just changed that out. So I don't know what it is. If anybody has any ideas, let me know.
Thanks.

hey bill I just fixed mine, it was the positive cable that hooked up to the started soilnoid(spelling) It's a brass bolt, the treads got striped in the middle and would tighten for a good connection. For some reason my positive cable was alittle short and while putting on the bolt it had tension and strip out the center threads. So jack up your car and see if soilnoid is getting a good connect, the cable should not move at all, so check and see if its on tight.

My car use to do that to, Only in front of people though so id look like a idiot. It was my alarm that was causing it. I dont want to jinx myself by saying it hasn't done it lately. I know its the alarm because when I had to disconenct it, I had to keep my door open (or have the dome light on), for it to crank. LOL .. wierd wiring.
Everything works fine for now though.

Its almost always wiring!!! Mine was a combination of my Negative Ground on the block and The Clutch Safety Switch......Make sure you check both of those......If your car is a stick anyways....
haha this may sound dumb... but make sure the car is in PARK... i've done this COUNTLESS times... and i turn and CLICK... and nothing happens .... my lights and radio came on but i couldn't figure it out... then my mom walks out... and laughs... puts it in park... and cranks it up... geeze... such an idiot...

Dacuma,
Thanks for the tip. I thought it might be the alarm but I disconnected the alarm and it still did it. The selinoid wiring sound pretty logical. I will give it a shot. I will let you know what happens.
Thanks.
