im back ! with a few questions of course...
i used to post on the old board years ago when i had my camaroz28. i just went and puc a down payment from a kid in queens for an 86 trans am. i looked up the vin and its the lg4 ;0(
well my questions are this:
is 2700 a good price for a 5 speed with 98000 miles , rebuilt carb and gta mesh rims. the body looks like its in ver good condition and so does the interior.
how many miles can i get on a full tank of gas?
what do i have to do to this car to get it to run away from my friends integ gsr like i do with my 85 300zxt?
it need a bracket for the right headlight anyone have one of those
where can i get a decent set of headers and a clutch kit for it?
does a normal clutch engage really high or is that a sign or wear?
whats a good place to look up stats such as 0-60 and 1/4 mile times for this car.
im sooo excited to be back in the 3rd gen board. hope to hear from yall soon!

I would say you got a high 15 second car at best, maybe low-low 16 sec.
Full exhaust, headers and a cat-back will help a lot. I'd recommend the Hooker cat-back, sound clip is in the signature. Then that cam needs to be changed. Along with the cam, a set of gears would help a lot, 3:42s would be the best all around gear. Though, what gears are in it now?

Sounds like the Z28 I picked up two months ago. I ended up giving it to my dad (hes old, and doesn't need to go fast).
High clutch grab is wear.. I think 2700.00 is a lot to pay.. I don't even buy those cars anymore cuz I can't get anything for the engine, though the 5 spd makes it a little more appealing.
If you're looking to build a fast car, take back your deposit and find a body for liek $500.00 with a blown motor.. You could prolly score something TPI with t-tops, and just replace the long block.
..And before some wise *** says "you'll never find a beloved f-body for $500.00", I buy 10+ of these cars a year.

$2,700, way too high IMHO. I paid $2,000 for my 86 IROC, 5 years ago. Needed some work, but it ran great and looked good.
