Just got a 350 block, some questions.

Yeah, I just picked up a 350 4-bolt block and I had a couple of questions. Will the oil pan from my 305 TBI fit on to this 350. And one more. This other source has some 75cc heads for sale for pretty cheap. What cc are y stock heads? So would those be better or worse? Thanks, sorry for all the q's I am really excited. L8er you all,

Yes the oil pan will swap over, i wouldn't buy those heads with the 75cc chambers, try to find some 64cc or so, so you can maintain some compression.

you have a point there. It is a toss up, better compression, or freerer(sp?) flowing. Did anyone know the stock head combustion chaber size though? Thanks for the info there.

Well stock combustion chanber size varied from about 64cc to 76cc in stock form, but the 76cc chamber suck because the compression ratio was about 8.0:1.

easiest way to do it is to get the casting ## of the head, it will be under the valve cover.

then go to yahoo or snap and type "chevy casting numbers"

Go to mortec.com and find the head casting number it should tell you about the head and the combustion chamber size.
