not getting fuel to start

Recently my car decided it doesn't like to start. I've got an '83 Z28 and I can pull the covers off and see that no fuel is being sprayed by the injectors of the cross-fire injection. I can prime it with starter fluid or gas in the injectors and it'll start, but that's the only way. I've replaced the fuel filter, fuel injectors, oxygen sensor, and coolant sensor. Anyone have any ideas. thanks

WHEN YOU FIRST TURN THE KEY IN THE ON POSITION CAN YOU HEAR THE FUEL PUMP TURN ON? I WOULD CHECK TO SEE IF YOU'RE GETTING ANY FUEL PRESSURE. IF NOT I WOULD CHECK THE FUEL PUMP RELAY, AND FUSES IF THEY ALL TURN OUT TO BE GOOD, YOUR FUEL PUMP MIGHT HAVE CRAPPED OUT ON YOU,.

replace the fuel pump relay and while you're at it check the connector itself that the relay plugs into, long shot but that was my "no-fuel at start up" problem, the wires were crap and shorting out so it wasn't getting fuel.

You're either not getting fuel pressure, or the injectors aren't being grounded. So the first thing to do is check all of your fuses, which you've probably already done. I'm not familiar with cfi, so bare with me. There should be a fuse for the injectors as well as the fuel pump. Check the fuse closest to your battery on the firewall, as well as the ones inside the car.

Does the fuel pump prime with the ignition on? If not, is there power at the connector just forward of the tank?(underneath the car, over the rear end/driveshaft). No? You need to trace back farther. Does the fuel pump relay click? Do it and it's connector have power?

Sorry, I didn't state that it stays running once started, and sometimes it actually starts without priming. I'll check the fuel pump relay, and get back with you. Thanks for the quick help. I don't think its the fuel pump because it stays running once started, but I think there may be something to that not being grounded. thanks

Neither my Chiltons nor my Haynes manuals tell me where the fuel pump relay is. Can someone educate me on where the fuel pump relay is? thanks

Look on the firewall near the master cylinder.
