unknown noise---please help

Hello,

I am hearing a creaking type noise coming from underneath the car. Sounds like it is coming from right underneath the car. The creaking noise is heard when going over bumps, and at times when braking. Now even occasionaly when accelerating quickly.

Could this be the transmission mount? Car has 117K, and I replaced the torque arm bushing with energy suspension.

The tranny mount is not soft, but there is a crack along the bottom in the front and back.

Think the problem is just the mount? OR should I look for more when I am under there changing it?

Thanks for helping

Brett

put a jack under the tranny and raise it slightly..use a board as to not damage anything....you will know if the mount is broke...if it is cracked replace it with poly.
