AC help...

Ok, back when I installed my heads/cam I put a small hole in my AC condenser and the Freon leaked out. Now I am finally getting around to repair it, as I can no longer take the 110 degree heat here. 5SIZ is going to sell me a condenser out of an 87 IROC and I want to make sure that it will fit in my 92 rs. Also, before replace the condenser, do I have to get the system discharged, or did I already take care of that? Last, should I convert to R-134a with the kit offered?

If your freon leaked out you really don't need to bother discharging anything. To my best knowledge his condenser will work in your car; the connections are in the same place in both v-belt and serpentine cars, despite the different hose routing and compressor locations. If you convert you'll just save yourself the cost of freon, but r-134a is not as good of a refrigerant so your a/c will not blow as cold. I converted my car just because I couldn't buy freon myself.

Thanks for the reply, does anyone else have any opinions on R-134a?
