all kinds of question bout my motor ***.,and maybe blower....

hi,
i am in need of some help,i just installed a xe 268 cam into my my basically stock 350,i have edelbrock rpm heads now,and they are 70 cc.so im not going to have much compression at all, first question,im putting the motor together right now,and i dont want to happen to me,like what happened the first time, the timing cover gasket started leaking, how do you guys recommend putting them on?do you use sealant anywhere on it?or do you just put the gasker on,and bolt it down,or should i put the sealant around the bottom part where the oil pan timing cover and block meet?should i need to put sealant around the rubber gasket to oil pan?and also should i put it up around the oil pan?next order of buisness, since i dont have that much compression right now,im gonna save up some money, and try to buy either a weiand or b&m 142/144 supercharger, will these fit underneathe a ss hood,or a big block hood,or am i going to have to go with a 2.5 inch cowl induction,or bigger?also, does it all fit between the radiator and the acc. like the belt and all that, thanks alot for your time.
phil

the sc should fit, i'd guess. guido has one and did have a stock hood. when i do an engine i use high tack on the block to hold the timing gasket and ultracopper of the cover. make sure you hammer out the dimples if there are any. i use a one piece oil pan gasket, lot easier. nothing on the block and again ultracopper on the pan and hammer out the dimples. doesn't take a lot of ultracopper, very thin coat, and i use ultracopper where the timing cover and oil pan gaskets meet. make sure you put some oil or greese on the crank seal or it'll burn up when you start the engine
