Lets say I wanted to go with a Carb. Besides the Gauges not working what else is there that you have to worry about? All I can think of is the playing baseball with all the old sensors.

if you get a carb and nonecm controlled distributor you won't have any problems and the gauges will work. do a search you'll find lot of info.

I confirm.

Your signature it outrageous. Looks good on my P4 machine at home, but you bog down my lowly P3-400MHz machine here at work .

If you have an 86 or newer Bird, you will need to isolate the wires for the VSS from the engine harness.
I went to a non-cc carb and just cut the harness off and then my speedo stopped working till I found out what wires were needed.

Just leave the damn ECM ALONE and you'll be fine. I dont why people are so eager to "rip out the ECM". Leave it in there and let it run your fuel pump, speedo, etc... It's not gonna come out and bite you while you're driving. I swear !
